Oriental Dragon

Nine Dragons is a handscroll painting by Chinese artist Chen Rong from 1244. Depicting the apparitions of dragons soaring amidst clouds, mists, whirlpools, rocky mountains and fire, the painting refers to the dynamic forces of nature in Daoism. This sculpture is made in recognition of the skillful artwork by the legendary painter.

Riding over the clouds in the sky, the God of Weather and Water Dragon King rules the realms of the earth and sky. Depicted as a long serpent like behemoth of the sky, the Dragon King is mighty and grand to behold. For Feng Shui applications, always place a dragon in an open space with good Chi flow. The Dragon King must face toward the room (to bring in the energy of wealth and prosperity) and not looking out through a window or door.
